Rail Transport

Rail freight is the backbone of stable, cost-effective inland transport — especially when timelines are fixed, air is too expensive, and roads are not an option. At Haubot, we manage international rail shipments for critical industrial cargo, high-volume deliveries, and cross-border supply chains where consistency matters more than speed.

From the heart of Europe to the Pacific coast of China, we design dependable rail routes, combining containers, platforms, and customs handling into one coherent chain — all managed under Haubot control.

Why Rail?

Rail offers the perfect balance between time and cost when shipping across large landmasses. It’s faster than sea freight and more economical than air — especially when used smartly as part of a broader multimodal solution. But successful rail logistics isn’t just about booking space — it’s about mastering complexity.

Haubot builds end-to-end rail plans that account for everything: rolling stock type, terminal transfer, customs clearance, cargo securing, and intermodal transfer. We arrange both full container block trains and smaller LCL shipments consolidated at rail hubs. Whether your cargo moves from Duisburg to Chongqing or from Almaty to Warsaw, we manage the actual execution — not just the label.

Corridors and Capabilities

Haubot operates across major freight corridors such as China–EU (via Kazakhstan, Mongolia, or Russia), the Middle Corridor (via Turkey and the Caspian), and classic East-West routes connecting the EU with CIS and Central Asia. We also coordinate north–south logistics through the Baltics, Caucasus, and Gulf-connected networks.

Our rail services include containerized cargo, palletized equipment, mixed shipments, and oversized units loaded onto flat wagons — always in full compliance with station protocols, customs zones, and documentation rules. We integrate your rail shipment with road pre- and post-haulage, warehouse transfer, and real-time tracking if needed.

Whether you're moving 10 pallets or a complete line of electrical equipment, Haubot adapts the rail plan to your cargo — not the other way around.

Intermodal by Design

Rail is powerful — but only when it’s properly integrated into the bigger picture. At Haubot, we don’t treat rail as a standalone solution. We design every shipment as part of an interconnected chain: factory to terminal, terminal to customs, customs to rail hub, rail to road, and road to final delivery point. Each transition is mapped, timed, and managed to prevent blind spots, delays, or cargo exposure.
We coordinate road pre-carriage from inland suppliers to major intermodal terminals across Europe, Central Asia, and China. Once the cargo reaches the terminal, we ensure proper containerization, platform loading, or wagon securing — depending on weight, shape, and route restrictions. At the receiving end, we supervise unloading, arrange customs clearance (or bonded transit), and initiate the post-haulage leg — whether that means flatbed trucking to a field site or container delivery to a secure warehouse.
Unlike many providers, we don’t “outsource the gaps.” Haubot owns the interfaces between modes — and that’s where most problems usually occur. That means no more guessing if the cargo cleared customs, no more late surprises about missing documents or misrouted containers, and no more silence when a shipment hits a congested terminal. We monitor intermodal transitions in real time and coordinate adjustments dynamically when needed.
If your cargo needs to move from a Tier-2 supplier in Poland to a customer site in western China — or from a production facility in Shenzhen to an energy hub in Germany — we build the rail-centered plan with the road, sea, and customs layers already embedded. With Haubot, intermodal logistics isn’t stitched together — it’s designed from the start to function as one system. That’s the difference between movement and execution.

Frequently asked questions

We handle containerized goods, palletized equipment, industrial parts, and even oversized machinery via flat wagons. Whether it's standard cargo or a special load with route restrictions, we build the rail plan around it.
We operate across Europe, Russia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and all major China–EU corridors. This includes northern routes via Kazakhstan, southern routes via Turkey and the Caspian, and multimodal links through the Baltics and Black Sea.
Yes. Most of our rail shipments are part of a multimodal chain. We manage road pickup and final delivery, as well as sea links if needed — including all transitions, reloading, and customs handling in between.
Absolutely. We provide full-container-load rail service for bulk or dedicated cargo, and LCL (less-than-container-load) service through rail hub consolidation. Our team will recommend the best option for your shipment.
Depending on the route and border conditions, China–EU rail shipments typically take between 12 and 20 days. Haubot provides route-specific transit time estimates based on current operating conditions and carrier capacity.
Yes. We manage customs at both origin and destination — including export declarations, transit documents (T1, TIR), and import clearance. Bonded terminal operations and dual-use compliance are part of our routine processes.
Yes. We ship dual-use equipment, sensitive electronics, and industrial components under proper packaging and export control compliance. Haubot ensures cargo is routed through certified corridors and handled by approved terminals.
Yes. We provide milestone updates, GPS-based tracking where available, and proactive status alerts — especially during border crossings, terminal transfers, and last-mile phases.
Yes. For cargo that exceeds container dimensions, we use flat wagons and coordinate with rail operators on permitted routes. Permits, loading schemes, and special handling are managed by our project logistics team.
Haubot designs full rail-based logistics systems — not just isolated bookings. We control handoffs, documents, tracking, and routing logic across modes, making the entire chain predictable, compliant, and frictionless.
