In autumn 2023, we took part in a demanding project to partially electrify a mining complex in Chile’s highlands. The site — a copper mine located over 4,300 meters above sea level — faces freezing temperatures even mid-year, and logistics are challenged by both terrain and strict transport limitations.
The client needed an urgent shipment of power electronics, distribution cabinets, high-voltage cables, transformers, and protective elements to launch new power lines. Beyond delivery, we had to ensure the equipment would operate reliably in extreme conditions — sudden temperature drops, high humidity, and airborne dust.
The entire logistics cycle — from request to dispatch — was completed in just 12 days. We sourced equipment from three countries, conducted compatibility tests, ensured packaging could withstand high-altitude transport, and consolidated everything in a single logistics hub before air-shipping to Santiago.
Everything arrived on time. The client confirmed smooth installation, with all systems launching successfully on the first try. The line is now operating continuously.
Projects in extreme environments are always a challenge — but they prove why fast logistics, no-nonsense support, and deep technical understanding matter.
